Emeraude Toubia

Emeraude Toubia was born in Canada. She is best known to Canadians due to her work as a Canadian actress on the Freeform fantasy television show Shadowhunters. Also, she appeared in Venevision television series Cosita linda and Voltea to whom you are is enthralled. A dancer and model by trade Toubia also has achieved great success in both of these fields. As a Montreal native, she grew as a child in Texas and has been fascinated by dancing. At a very young age, she has studied a variety of dance styles. When she was 15 she began competing in beauty pageants. In 1999, she made her first on-screen appearance in Televisa's children's program El Mundo de los Ninos. Toubia was a hit by her appearance on Nuestra Belleza Latina, the Univision pageant show. She was in 2010 as the receptionist for Telemundo television show Aurora. She appeared in the 2015 action thriller Tattooed Love, her debut film. The performance of Toubia as Shadowhunter was recognized by the Teen Choice Awards in both the years 2017 and 2018, for her performance as the best actress on TV in Fantasy/Sci-Fi.
